Dear Friends, Clients & Neighbors,

We hope you are staying safe and well during this holiday season. All of us at Brown & Company Design are so grateful for your friendship, business, and support.

As we all know, this holiday season is unlike any other. While we love candy canes, chocolates, and all the usual holiday traditions, we’ve decided to celebrate a little differently this year.

Brown & Company will be supporting local nonprofits that are meaningful to our team and long-term clients. These organizations play a pivotal role in aiding local families and our communities.

On this page is a list of local nonprofits and initiatives we are supporting. If possible, we hope you will consider doing the same.

Happy Holidays!

Womenade of Greater Squamscott
Womenade of Greater Squamscott is a favorite of many of our clients. Womenade provides local residents with short-term financial assistance not readily available through other resources. From providing glasses to a child who is struggling to see, to helping an injured, out-of-work mother pay rent, Womenade makes a huge difference in the lives of those in need. womenadeofnh.org

ARS (AIDS Response Seacoast)
We heard there was a drop in support for adopt-a-family gift programs this year, and knew we wanted to help. ARS is a Portsmouth nonprofit that helps provide education, assistance and advocacy for people and communities affected by HIV/AIDS. They connected us with a family with seven kids, and we’re excited to help spread some holiday cheer. aidsresponse.org

Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire
Led by JerriAnne Boggis, this growing organization has played an increasingly vital role in helping New Hampshire citizens understand and appreciate our own African American history and stories. One of our favorite long-term clients supports the Black Heritage Trail of NH because of their tireless work to grow awareness and build a more inclusive community here in New Hampshire. blackheritagetrailnh.org

Community Caregivers of Greater Derry
Community Caregivers provides support and assistance to elderly, disabled, and ill residents, allowing them to stay in their own homes with safety and dignity. Community Caregivers and their volunteers help to create a more caring community for those who may have no family members nearby to help, and may not be able to drive or do certain tasks for themselves. comcaregivers.org

Portsmouth Welfare Department
The city’s welfare office is collecting gift cards for families who have older kids who are not typically served by other Christmas programs in town. We are so happy to take part in this program and help to support these local teens. Learn more.

Rockingham Nutrition Meals on Wheels
Many of us have connections to Meals on Wheels. Mary Jo’s grandparents delivered for a rural New York program for their entire adult lives. RNMOW delivers hot meals and operates 12 dining centers supporting older and disabled residents of Rockingham County who need assistance. rockinghammealsonwheels.org

Gather
Gather serves those in our community experiencing hunger by providing nutritious food through innovative distribution programs, their Pantry Market and nutrition education. During these times, they are working hard to keep up with increased demand. We applaud them for their work and commitment to making the Seacoast a hunger-free community. gathernh.org
